Shorewest Spring Cleaning Tips

The weather is finally starting to warm up so now is the best time to plan your spring cleaning to-do list!  A few items not to overlook are:

Washing walls, woodwork and cabinets. Your house has been closed up for months and dust and kitchen grease tend to get on everything; even vertical surfaces. A sponge and TSP cleaning solution should do the trick

Carpet and upholstery cleaning. Fabrics and carpets have accumulated a winters worth of dirt, germs and body oil. A deep cleaning is sure to get them ready for another year of wear.FB Logo

Door entry ways. To guard against tracking in even more dirt, vigorously shake or vacuum or wash your entry mats.

Finish your floors. Vinyl, wood and tile floors all need care to keep them looking new for years to come. Combined wash and wax or wash and seal cleaners will save time. Grout sealing is also recommended to keep tile floors protected.

Vacuum everywhere. Just because your sofa hasn’t moved all winter doesn’t mean there isn’t dust underneath. Move your furniture to remove as much dust from your home as possible.

Clean light and ceiling fixtures. Remove dust and cob webs from light fixtures, heat vents and ceiling fans. Again, dust can get anywhere.

Refrigerator coils. Dirty coils can make your refrigerator less efficient and possibly overheat. Cleaning can easily be done with a vacuum.
